In another exciting step for IDOM Innovations and our flagship business AutoFlip (the smart automotive marketplace), we’re pleased to announce our partnership and ongoing collaboration with the esteemed RMIT university.

“We’re thrilled to launch our partnership with RMIT including the establishment of the IDOM Innovation Centre at RMIT’s City campus.  .

We’re also proud to have recently kicked off some exciting projects and engaged several RMIT interns based out of our headquarters in South Yarra. We look forward to working with RMIT to help realise our vision to be the future of global automotive solutions” – Mr Takayoshi Udagawa, CEO of IDOM Innovations.

In collaboration with its partners, IDOM Innovations is combining new technologies with our operational expertise to create simplified automotive solutions that improve the transparency and simplicity of buying and selling cars.

The ICC will work with RMIT on several special projects focused on developing smart automotive solutions using future technologies. Commencing with an Automotive AI related initiative that’s now underway. 

“RMIT Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President, Research and Innovation, Professor Calum Drummond said the RMIT community were delighted to host IDOMi on their campus.

“This partnership presents us with a real opportunity to collaborate on projects that support IDOM’s business while also developing their talent pipeline and providing RMIT students with valuable industry experience,” he said.

The announcement was made at Monday night’s Japan-Melbourne-Kai, an exclusive senior level networking event for the Victoria-Japan business community.

The event was a celebration of the Melbourne-Osaka Sister City 45-year anniversary with the theme aptly focused on Australia-Japan innovation partnerships.

The evening also featured remarks from Consul-General of Japan in Melbourne, Mr Junji Shimada as well as Lord Mayor, Sally Capp who also commented on the value of the partnership to the City of Melbourne.
